Introduction
Activities
The Section runs a wide range of competitions both
during the week but mainly at weekends. In addition a number of matches
are organised with other golf clubs. Whilst recognising the importance of
healthy competition, the aim at all times is for the organised golf to be
played in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
The Section is particularly keen to ensure that new
members are made to feel very welcome and an event is held roughly every
three months for them.
The Juniors are the responsibility of the Section.
Eligibility
All male members of
Slinfold are automatically included in the Mens section. A number of
competitions take place on Saturdays and Sundays and these are restricted
to 7 day members.
Competitions
There is an impressive
programme of organised competitions – approximately twice a month at
weekends and most Wednesdays during the main playing seasons. In addition
there are knockout competitions, eclectics and leagues.
