Ladies Section

 Welcome to the Slinfold Park members’ website.   

Throughout the year we have a number of events taking place so please feel free to join in.  Whatever your standard of golf, there is sure to be something that will suit you and it provides an excellent way to get to know your fellow golfers. 

In addition to all the Ladies’ events that take place throughout the year, we also have a number of mixed events which are well supported. 

Our main playing day for the Ladies is a Sunday, which means that the major events of the year such as the Spring Meeting, Captain’s Day, Club Championship and the Autumn Meeting take place at the weekend.  However, if you prefer to play midweek, then there are medals and stablefords and other fun competitions arranged on a Wednesday which is the alternate playing day.  We have tee times from 9.04 to 10.00am. 

Both at weekends and midweek there are also a number of other events taking place, so much so, that there are too many to list here.  Further details of these events can be found in our monthly newsletter as well as being posted on the notice board located in the Ladies Locker Room.  If you would like to receive our monthly newsletter, please ensure that our Secretary, Jeanne Coker, has your email address. 

If you are new to golf, remember we were all beginners once and we are very conscious of just how difficult it is to get on the first rung of the ladder.  We will be with you all the way in terms of encouragement to achieve your first handicap.  We also have an excellent team of Professionals who will be very happy to assist you with your game. 

We also take part in a number of competitions organised by the Sussex County Ladies Golf Association - SCLGA for short, friendly matches against other local clubs both home and away and mixed matches on the same basis.
